A practical learning experience designed to help individuals, couples and families understand what contributes to family wellness, recognise patterns that need strengthening and develop practical strategies for healthier family life.

Theme

The Architecture of Family Wellness

Strong families are not simply the result of good intentions. They are strengthened through healthy relationships, intentional practices, appropriate support and the capacities to navigate the realities of family life together.

What Is the Family Wellness Summit?

The Family Wellness Summit 2026 is a TogetherWell learning experience bringing together practical family-life education, guided reflection and actionable strategies for strengthening relationships and family wellbeing.

Built around TogetherWell’s Architecture of Family Wellness, the Summit helps participants look beyond isolated family problems to understand the different parts of family life that work together to shape how well a family functions.

Participants will be encouraged not merely to ask, “What is wrong with our family?” but to explore more constructive questions:

What is already working? What is under strain? What patterns are shaping our family life? What needs strengthening? What can we begin doing differently?

Family wellness is not about creating a perfect family. It is about intentionally strengthening the patterns and relationships that help families live well together.

Who Is the Summit For?

Couples

For married couples who want to better understand their relationship and family patterns, strengthen what is working and become more intentional about building a healthier family life together.

Intending Couples

For people preparing for marriage who want to think beyond the wedding and develop a clearer understanding of the relationships, capacities and family processes involved in building a life together.

Singles

For individuals who want greater understanding of healthy relationships and family life and who recognise that personal capacities and relational patterns influence the families and relationships we eventually build.

Parents & Family Members

For parents, caregivers and other adults who want practical insight into the relationships, routines, responsibilities and environments that contribute to healthier family functioning.

What Will We Explore?

The Summit will introduce participants to key dimensions of the Architecture of Family Wellness, including:

Personal Capacities & Wellbeing

How the wellbeing, emotional capacities and personal functioning of individual family members can influence the wider family.

Relational Security & Belonging

Why people need to experience family as a place of dependable connection, acceptance and belonging.

Communication, Connection & Conflict

How everyday interaction, emotional processes, communication, disagreement and repair shape relationship quality.

Partnership, Roles & Responsibilities

How couples and families navigate expectations, power, decision-making, responsibilities and shared family life.

Parenting, Caregiving & Development

How families support children and other members through caregiving, guidance and changing developmental needs.

Family Organisation, Resources & Boundaries

How routines, resources, responsibilities, extended-family relationships and healthy boundaries influence everyday family functioning.

Shared Identity, Meaning & Direction

How values, beliefs, family identity and shared direction can help families understand who they are and what they are building together.

What Should You Leave With?

The Family Wellness Summit is designed to move participants from awareness towards practical action. By the end of the experience, participants should be better equipped to:

  • understand family wellness as multidimensional rather than reducing family health to one issue;
  • recognise important strengths and pressure points within their relationships and family life;
  • identify recurring patterns that may be supporting or weakening family wellbeing;
  • understand how different parts of family life influence one another;
  • identify realistic priorities for strengthening their family; and
  • translate insight into practical next steps.

The goal is not simply to leave inspired. It is to leave seeing your family more clearly and better equipped to strengthen what matters.
