Professional Disclaimer

This statement explains the purpose and professional boundaries of TogetherWell Services’ educational content, relationship strategy resources, coaching and programmes. It should be read alongside any terms, consent documents or service agreements applicable to a particular engagement.

1. Nature and Scope of Our Work

TogetherWell Services is a family-life and relationship strategy organisation. Our work is primarily educational, developmental, preventive and strategic. Depending on the engagement, we provide relationship and marriage education and coaching, parenting education and coaching, family-life education, family wellness reflection and strategy, learning resources, workshops and related professional programmes.

Our approach is evidence-informed, culturally responsive and faith-sensitive. When Christian reflection is offered, it does not replace sound professional judgement, appropriate safeguarding or respect for participants’ beliefs and decisions.

2. Education and Coaching Are Not Clinical Treatment

Unless a particular service is expressly described and agreed otherwise by an appropriately licensed professional acting within their authorised scope, TogetherWell’s website content, resources, assessments, workshops and coaching services are not psychotherapy, psychiatric treatment, medical care, clinical diagnosis or legal advice. We do not represent our general family wellness reflection tools as validated psychometric instruments or clinical diagnostic tests.

Educational guidance and coaching may help people develop awareness, skills and practical strategies, but they are not substitutes for an individual assessment by a qualified regulated professional where that is required.

3. No Individualised Professional Relationship Through Website Use

Reading an article, downloading a resource, using a self-reflection guide or submitting a general enquiry does not by itself establish an ongoing coaching, counselling, clinical, legal or other professional service relationship. Any structured service requires separate clarification of its purpose, scope, consent, confidentiality arrangements, fees where applicable and professional boundaries.

4. Safety, Abuse and Urgent Concerns

Ordinary relationship-strengthening exercises and joint coaching may be inappropriate where there is domestic violence, coercive control, abuse, exploitation, serious threats, neglect or another significant safeguarding concern. Safety, dignity and protection take precedence over routine family or relationship improvement activities.

TogetherWell’s website and ordinary enquiry channels are not emergency response or crisis services. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact local emergency, protection or other appropriate professional services promptly. Avoid sending detailed accounts of abuse or highly sensitive personal information through the general contact form.

5. When Specialist Support Is Needed

We encourage referral to appropriately qualified medical, mental-health, legal, child-protection, domestic-violence or other specialist services when the nature of a concern exceeds the scope of educational or coaching support. Depending on the situation, we may advise that specialist help be sought before, instead of or alongside TogetherWell services.

6. Research, Scripture, Culture and Interpretation

Our resources may draw on research evidence, professional practice, African and Nigerian family contexts, lived experience and biblical perspectives. These are not interchangeable forms of authority. We aim to distinguish evidence from contextual interpretation and faith-based reflection where relevant. Illustrative examples are provided for learning and do not necessarily represent real clients.

7. Personal Decisions and Outcomes

Family and relationship circumstances vary. No programme, article, strategy or coaching engagement can guarantee reconciliation, a particular relational outcome or the prevention of future difficulties. Visitors and participants remain responsible for decisions within their control, while recognising that safety, power imbalances, structural pressures and other people’s choices may limit what any individual can accomplish.

8. Privacy and Confidentiality

We seek to handle personal information respectfully and in accordance with applicable obligations. Confidentiality is not absolute where safeguarding or legal responsibilities apply. Please review our Privacy Notice before sharing personal information.

9. Questions About Scope or Suitability

If you are unsure whether TogetherWell is appropriate for your situation, Contact Us with a brief, non-sensitive description of what you are seeking. We can clarify our service boundaries and, where relevant, identify a more appropriate next step.
